It was a rusting hulk of an iron bridge, the kind they used to use for trains. Nothing has gone across it for at least ten years now, and leafy vines have begun to twist and choke the dark brown struts. That is where he was laying, in the middle of the old bridge on his back looking up at the sky. He was all dressed in black, like he was going to a funeral and he had his arms behind his head pillowing it. Slowly I walk up to him and look down to his face, if he saw me he never let on. So I decided to speak to him "ummmm why are you laying there? You know that rust and tar from the rail ties are going to ruin your suit." Still looking up at the sky he says "It's old"
"what's old?" I ask him.
"The suit" he says "it's old, I got it from a thrift store for about six bucks, quite a deal if I do say so myself"
"That's nice, but you still didn't tell me why you are just laying there" I say to him.
"Didn't I? Well if you must know I am waiting" he replies.
Still looking up he yawns a little, staring at nothing. Looking up myself I ask him "well what are you waiting for?"
"The opening" he says "just waiting for the opening."
"Man you are strange" I say to him.
"No stranger then you" he says "talking to a complete stranger on a rusty old bridge in the middle of nowhere."
He did have a point there, and to tell you the truth I have no idea why I am even here. It's like some force drew me here, normally I don't like to even go any place close to vegatation, to many bugs in it for my taste. Yet still here I am in the middle of a bridge talking to a loon.
Blah I can't think of anything else to put here. So I better quit while I am ahead.
As for my song of the day it is Mother by Danzig
Have a good night all
